Layered Circles Zentangle Frame

I love the way this project came out. I started by writing the "believe" on the bottom corner and then colored it in using my Copic markers. After that I used a template to layer the circles around the frame and filled each of them with a different Zentangle pattern.

Zentangle Dangles and Curtains

I love Dangles and Curtains!

This is a simple sketch from my personal idea journal that shows a couple of my favorite Zentangle inspired patterns. The Dangles are fairly self explanatory and the Curtains are taught in the "Beginner Zentangle Class - Part 2 on Shading)

February Willow Heart Tree Card

This months theme at the Unique Crafters Challenge Blog is all about lace and fabric. You may create anything you would like, as long as there is some kind of lace or fabric someplace on the card. I used the Willow Heart Tree image from Cedar Chest Designs to create this Valentine's Day card. The dangly little hearts really make me happy.

After finishing the image I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The candy stripe pattern was from "Lime Twist" Designer Paper Pad by My Minds Eye. The little brad was from Bo Bunny and everything else just came out of my stash. For the challenge, I added a strip of lace and a sheer piece of fabric behind the image mat.

The image was colored using Copic markers. To create the dots, I simply touched up and down lightly with the tip of my pen. The trick to getting really fun dots is to vary the size with large and small.

Hearts: R22, R24, R56
Dots: R02, R05, R22, R24, R56

Baby Boy in Cradle Card

This months challenge at the Unique Crafters Challenge Blog is all about "New Beginnings." That means you can post anything that represents a new start or the beginnings of a new adventure. This would include themes such as baby, wedding, new year, new house, new job, new haircut, or anything that feels like a significant change in your life. Please stop by and link over your own project for a chance to win free stuff.

I made this little baby boy card for my newest little Nephew. I wanted to create a simple card that was flat and easy to mail. The little twine bow was the thickest part of the card. The title line was made with a simple piece of canvas ribbon that I stamped with baby sentiments using my brown Momento ink.

This little image is one of my favorites for a new baby. It is easy to color it in blue, pink or yellow depending on how you need to use it. I colored this image with my Copic markers.
